The Must-Get Activity Tracker Moms Need to Snag

Apps/ Health/ Mom/ Products/ Tech

When you’re breastfeeding there’s a natural system in place to help you lose the baby weight, but remembering to stay active during your day gets harder each day. Remembering when it’s time to feed the baby (bottle or breastmilk), take a pill or get up and play outside with the kiddo can get lost in the shuffle of a hectic day, too. Sometimes when the kiddo finally falls asleep it’s on your arm and you know you can’t move an inch or nap time is all done so you get in the habit of vegging out. After getting through the toddler and baby years it wasn’t until my kiddo was 4 that I realized I had waited too long to make active, healthy living a party of my day, too. I found the LEAF by Bellabeat online and reached out to them about testing it out. I’m so glad I did. I’ve watched as friends and family bought other activity trackers and none of them really felt like a fit for me until this one. Read more

My Favorite Seasonal Styles From PinkBlush

Mom/ Parent Life/ Style

It isn’t easy finding an affordable wardrobe that looks as great on you as it does off, and accommodates mom life without making you feel old. But, PinkBlush, a trendy online women’s clothing boutique does just this. Both their maternity and non-maternity styles are complimentary, affordable and on-trend! I first learned about PinkBlush when they brought some of their gorgeous women’s dresses, blouses, everyday wear, pants and accessories to the January Mom’s Night Out SF I hosted at Hotel Diva with a shopping and “me time” theme. I couldn’t believe how non-maternity their maternity clothes looked and was instantly in love. I finally asked PinkBlush if I could share a few pieces for Mama Style and they sent me two great items to share (the third isn’t available yet so I’ll post it on social when it arrives), plus are giving away a PinkBlush gift card to one lucky reader! 3 Things I Learned After I Stopped Breastfeeding

Breastfeeding/ Mom/ Parent Life

Breastfeeding, is tough, whether you’re able to get it down or not. So there’s a LOT of learning to be done before you start nursing, then even more once you actually have a newborn there to figure out the right latch, pumping and everything else that connects to the fact that you’re breastfeeding. But I actually learned a few things after I stopped nursing my first born after 4.5 years that I really didn’t expect. Things that weren’t covered in my nursing manuals, or discussed by consultants.  Read more

Mama Style: Fall in Love With Green and Gold

Mama Style/ Mom/ Style

Fall is upon us, and with that I thought I’d finally share this 70s glam-inspired look Reichel Broussard (Copy Cat Chic) took photos of while we were staying at Holman Ranch (a breathtaking winery with restaurant and event space) during my birthday week in August — It’s perfect for this weather! Green is one of my favorite colors, and though I’m more of a white gold and silver gal, I really like wearing gold with natural/Earthy colors like green, brown, beige and red.  I requested some fun statement jewelry from Sweet & Spark (a cute dad and daughter jewelry shop selling vintage jewelry finds) for this review and was sent a 70s bracelet and necklace to get my outfit ideas going. After searching for the right outfit, I found this clearance dress and fell in love with the color pairing, as well as how I could wear it for work, a special occasion or just glamming up my day.
